The Gynae Care Research and Cancer Foundation (GRCF), a registered NGO has operated in Nigeria since 2015, where it is a leading nonprofit organization carrying out comprehensive medical and cancer prevention outreach programs.
It consists of a multi disciplinary team of Medical Personnel, Laboratory Scientist, Health Counselors, Social Scientists, Researchers working together to improve the lives of women in Nigeria through:

  • Advocacy on the rights of Nigerian citizens to have access to cancer prevention services within the limits of available resources
  • Education of the populace by disseminating accurate information about cancer prevention strategies including HPV Vaccination
  • Delivering free/subsidized grass root medical and cancer screening and treatment programs in rural, urban communities; in religious and corporate organizations
  • Training of medical personnel to equip them with the knowledge and skill needed to counsel, screen and treat patients using simple, accessible and effective techniques.
  • Conducting indigenous research on determinants of cancers in our environment.
  • Offering support for cancer victims, including treatment [surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy].
  • We have a database of previously screened clients which we continuously update; ultimately it helps us remind them of future screening dates.


GRCF is committed to protecting the lives of girls and women and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, in partnership with religious leaders, governments, and other stakeholders

Ovarian Cancer


The ovaries are part of a woman's reproductive system and produce the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. They also release eggs which are needed for fertilization for formation of a baby.

Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer in women worldwide and the commonest cause of cancer death in women in Nigeria between the ages of 45 and 55. Majority of women diagnosed present in advanced stages of the disease. This is due to poor awareness about the disease and the fact that most women do not perform monthly breast examinations or go for breast screening via Ultrasound scan or mammogram.
